Anthony Bourdain meets Miron Zownir in PARTS UNKNOWN - The BERLIN Episode

A few months before his suicide Emmy winner, gourmet cook and bestselling author Anthony Bourdain met Miron Zownir in Berlin.  Bourdain's PARTS UNKNOWN - The BERLIN Episode shows a comprehensive photographic retrospective of Zownir's Berlin photographs from three decades and excerpts from his film work. CNN decided to show the Berlin episode on the occasion of the death of Anthony Bourdain. In it he takes us into Berlin's history of the Weimar era of the early 20th century through the 70s and 80s and meets with interesting contemporary artists. Bourdain, who saw Berlin as a great retreat for artists, musicians and creatives from all over the world, who gave a long line of admired characters like Fritz Lang, George Grosz, Christopher Isherwood, David Bowie and Iggy Pop the freedom artists need to be able to develop freely.
